A mechanical design project usually begins with a feasibility study, as a starting point for developing a layout for the machine. We then move on to 3D modelling in CAD, using Solid Works and Creo, among other tools. This also creates a specification that sets out the materials and components required and whether they need to be manufactured or purchased. The result is detailed manufacturing drawings and clear specifications.
In the next stage, our designers produce electrical drawings for the machine. This may involve control devices, motors, or complete equipment cabinets, mock-ups etc. Varying solutions are applied depending on both the power supply and how the machine will be controlled and maintained with different types of control systems.
